Community partnerships have led me to be podcasted, televised, and awarded for my long-standing commitment to the community. These endeavors have shown me the promise of a culturally rich Rochester.

Jackie Ortiz for Rochester City Council
City of Rochester native, Jackie is a graduate of Wilson Magnet High School, and she has a degree in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University. She lives in the Charlotte Neighborhood with her fiancé Juan Luciano and their son.
Jackie was elected to her first term as an At-Large Member on the City Council in 2009 and re-elected in 2013. She serves as Chair of the Neighborhood and Community Development Committee which focuses on legislation that impacts neighborhoods. |
Willie J. Lightfoot for Rochester City Council
Former Monroe County Legislator Willie Joe Lightfoot represented the 27 th District, which includes Rochester’s 19th Ward neighborhood, the Greater Rochester International Airport, and Genesee Valley Park. Willie was appointed to the Monroe County Legislator in 2006. He was termed out after three consecutive terms, doing a total of 10 years of service. He is the son of Theresa Thompson and The Late Honorable Willie Walker Lightfoot who was the 25th District County Legislator for over 20 years. Willie was the ranking Democrat on the Public Safety Committee and also served on the Human Services Committee. Mr. Lightfoot along with his wife Verdina have four adult children and three grandchildren.

Beatriz LeBron for Rochester City School District Board
I am a parent of three girls, all who have been (and currently are) in the Rochester City School District. I am the new leader of 25th legislative district and I currently work as a Community Health Worker with Rochester Regional Health. I have spent the last 16 years of my life passionately dedicated to advocating and working with families throughout the City of Rochester.

Harry Bronson for Assembly
Harry Bronson was elected to the New York State Assembly in November 2010. The district includes parts of the City of Rochester and the towns of Chili and Henrietta. Harry’s passion for social justice, equality and fairness has defined his public service, legal and business careers. Prior to being elected to the State Assembly, he represented Brighton, Henrietta and Rochester in the Monroe County Legislature holding leadership positions during his entire tenure.

Maritza Buitrago for Family Court Judge
Maritza Buitrago has spent her entire 15-year legal career in the public sector. She began practicing law in 1999 at the Legal Aid Society, where she represented clients in domestic violence and in matrimonial cases. In 2000, she joined the Monroe County Public Defender’s office where she dedicated herself to ensuring that justice was equally provided to all members of our community. Buitrago served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Rochester Regional Office, but her devotion to representing families in need led her to return to the family court section of the Monroe County Public Defender’s office in 2009. Since then, she has diligently worked in Family Court everyday representing clients in a wide variety of family law cases.
